I had given my friend Mark a framed picture of him and his daughter Ivy for graduation (to my surprise he's not graduating until December 2009). Above is the picture. I framed it in a brown and black frame, it looked really good!!
The other day when Mark and I were talking he called me Remee. This is when the aaahhh moment occurred.. Let me set the scene up for you.
We were at my favorite place in the world Tummi Yummi's getting some frozen yogurt.
Mark: Renaldo!
Me: Yes? You know what someone called me that today, I told them you (Mark) were the only one who could call me that.
Mark: (he laughs) You know what?!
Me: what?
Mark: Ivy remembers who you are.
Me: Really? How?
Mark: She looks at the picture you gave me and she says 'Remee gave that to me'.
Me: Nice (I didn't know what to say).
Mark: Remee
Me: You can't call me that only Ivy!
I am glad to know that every time I see Ivy, I know deep inside that she knows who I am even if she pretends she doesn't.
